In a stunning reveal, Santa Monica Studio announced God of War: Laufey, a new entry starring Faye (Laufey), Kratos’ wife. The game begins after her cremation, with Faye awakening in the afterlife realm known as the Everywhen.
The gameplay shown was brutally violent, with Faye fighting using a sword (guarded by a spirit) and powerful magic. She delivers fast, precise, and relentless combat against gods from various mythologies.
Faye is portrayed by actress Deborah Ann Woll, who previously voiced and performed motion capture for the character in God of War Ragnarök. Woll is best known for her roles as Jessica Hamby in True Blood and Karen Page in Daredevil and other Marvel projects. Fans are already hyped for this fresh take on the God of War universe. No release date was announced yet.
