Hikaru Kurosaki, the Japanese actor and stuntman who played the title hero in the 1980s tokusatsu series Jaspion, has died at 64. His death was announced Thursday by a friend on social media; the cause has not been disclosed.
Before starring as Jaspion, Kurosaki worked as a stuntman and dancer, appearing in productions such as Japan’s live-action Spider-Man, Battle Fever J, Denshi Sentai Denziman, and Choudenshi Bioman. After leaving acting in the early 1990s, he moved to Okinawa, where he became a scuba diving instructor and founded his own diving school.
